Welcome
Kathleen York House supports women to overcome substance dependence and to reduce its harmful impacts on their lives, and the lives of their children, families and on the community.
Operating since 1991, Kathleen York House is a small community-based service, started with the generous York bequest and funded by private donations, the Department of Health and Ageing, NSW Health and Sydney South West Area Health Service.
Kathleen York House is governed by the Alcohol and Drug Foundation of NSW. ADFNSW is a company limited by guarantee and is a registered charity
How we help
KYH accommodates up to seven residents and children in our historic house in Sydney's inner west. We provide an intensive long term therapeutic program, with active links to the local community. Our Transition and Aftercare programs support women as they step back into the community and recommence independent living.
DONATIONS WELCOMEWe are a small not-for-profit charity. Donations are tax-deductible and will directly help our clients. |
WHY ARE WE HERE?We offer a supportive and therapeutic environment to women who may be socially marginalised by substance abuse. |
